Hazardous Areas (Explosive Atmospheres)
ATEX and DSEAR Servicing and Maintenance

Target Group

This course is designed to give delegates an understanding of the implications and requirements for, and who are, servicing and maintaining existing electrical equipment in areas with explosive gases.
This course is only for delegates who have completed the ATEX and DSEAR Awareness training course of ATEX and DSEAR on page 14.

Content

• Details of the methods of protection used and the installation procedures
• Requirements of cables, glands and terminations
• Inspection requirement of electrical work in hazardous gas atmospheres

Assessment: There will be ongoing assessment throughout the course including individual performance during the practical exercises. There will also be an open book multiple choice assessment testing knowledge and understanding

Certification: IPB Training Certificate of Attendance
