Electrical fault finding
Purpose:
The programme is designed for delegates who have an electrical background and need to update their skills to enable them to perform electrical fault finding tasks competently and safely. The basis of the programme is knowledge and understanding sections supported by a number of practical sessions.
Content
Understand methods / techniques of fault
finding
Reading & understanding electrical drawings (practical using
wiring diagrams / relay boards / involving company drawings if
available)
Sensors – Contact and non contact (practical using relay boards,
different types of sensors etc)
Solenoids (practical using solenoid board)
Motors & associated circuits (practical using motor fault board
and completing documentation)
Inverters (using inverter manual to locate fault codes etc)
Plc’s (using ladder logic diagrams, inputs / outputs for fault
diagnosis.
Certification: IPB Training Certificate of
Competence
